This is a vintage demi-lune planter. An Italian, weathered terracotta jardiniere, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.
Substantial and nicely detailed planter with a lightly weathered appearance
Displays a desirable, naturally aged patina throughout
Terracotta of robust form with light amber hues
Decorative relief to the fascia, with a central cherub mask
Appealing weight in the hand at 16.8kg (37 lb)
Drainage hole to the demi-lune base for ease of drainage
Maker's mark to the side for Zago Terrecotte - Impruneta
