This is a large, attractive Chinese porcelain table lamp decorated with flowers and birds highlighted in gold against a cobalt blue background. The form is based on the Meiping but with incised vertical lines similar to a melon which is a rare feature. There is a brass fitting to the top shaped to match the segmented body and it stands on an attached cork base bearing a label for Rochamp with the date 25/11/85. This makes the lamp about 40 years old.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition without chips or cracks. It has been tested and passed by our electrician. It comes with a generous length of gold PVC covered flex. It is sold without a shade but we would recommend pairing it with a 40cm tapered drum shade as shown in the second photograph.
