Vintage Butchers Pig Trade Sign
Fabulous, life size fibreglass, butchers advertising pig.
Dating to the 1950's I believe.
This super size pig has been a wonderful decorative, retail display piece that I now, no longer need.
As with many trades, they are often associated to a sign. Butchers being no exception and the 'pig' has long since been the sign of a butcher.
I have had several retail display pigs, many of which have gone off to USA.
This pig however is the largest one that I have known.
He is in excellent, strong & sound condition showing only some minor paint loss that is to be expected.
