Vintage Brigg Silver-Mounted Riding Crop

This vintage riding crop was made by Brigg and is stamped both on the handle and on the silver mount. It has an horn (antler) handle, a silver collar, and a wooden faux bamboo shaft. The bottom leather part of the whip looks to have been replaced at some point. The silver-mount is hallmarked for London 1923 and stamped with the maker's mark CC, which we believe to be for the maker Charles Cooke.
Condition: Overall in good condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. The horn handle is grubby. The silver mount is tarnished and a little dented. The wooden shaft has some scuffing, wear and discolouration. The leather has some wear, cracking and discolouration and the bottom leather tongue looks to have been replaced at some point.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
57cm long (including tongue), 12cm wide (handle). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
