This is a heavy vintage bloodhound ornament. An American, bronze and marble figural dog sculpture by Grace Mott Johnson, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.
Delightfully substantial ornament with high appeal for dog lovers
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Substantial bronze presents well, with minimal weathering to the golden hues
Each dog nicely crafted, with good hair rendition and well-defined features
Signed to the bottom left by Grace Mott Johnson (1882 - 1967)
Black marble base adds to feeling of heft, the whole weighing 12.87kg (28.37 lb)
