Vintage Bagatelle Game, Abbey 'Corinthian' Silenta
This is a large bagatelle board with a lovely olive green canvas backing. It's in good working order and comes with its original box and 19 metal balls. The box has a charming inscription in pencil, "To all at 59, from Mummy, A Merry Xmas 1950".
The game is very attractive and makes a fabulous decor item, looking very striking as a piece of decorative art. However it is also usable as a game to be played with, or a great addition to an antique/vintage toy collection. There is a metal plaque on the front which helpfully explains the rules.
There is some wear to the game, which has obviously been enjoyed by 'all at 59' over the years! There are scratches and wear to the wooden frame, marks on the canvas around the metal holes, and black tape has been added to the top rim at some point. The box is worn and water damaged. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions, or request more pictures.
