Vintage Art Deco Tan Leather Club Armchair

This attractive armchair dates from around the 1920s / 1930s and is very much in the art deco style. It has a tan leather finish with studwork decoration and is supported on turned bulbous oak legs at the front and swept oak legs at the back. The armchair has a shaped apron at the front and has a lovely shape overall. There are no maker's marks that we can see. It has a comfortable sprung seat and a colourful seat cushion which we believe to be a later replacement.
Condition: Overall this handsome armchair is in good usuable condition with some grubbiness and wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the leather as might be expected, including an abrasion on the top. There is some heavier wear to the fronts of the armrests. The springs are a little loose and the webbing is visible on the underneath of the chair. The seat cushion is a little grubby and faded.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 83.5cm high, 66cm wide, 71cm deep (to maximums) 48cm high to seat. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
