A charming mid-Victorian period chess top, or games, table in rosewood. Very well constructed in solid rosewood and with attractive rosewood veneers. The rectangular top is fitted with an inlaid chess board (the squares in rosewood and maple). There is a single long drawer to the freeze. The table stands on turned legs , united by an under-stretcher and terminating in their original castors. Offered for sale in excellent original condition with a good colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops, ready to go straight into the home.
