An elegant antique Victorian balloon back chair in lovely aged rosewood by John Kendell & Co. With shaped and carved back and attractive cabriole legs with carved knees. It has been newly recovered in a satin brocade fabric in a cream with a self-pattern of scrolls and leaf sprays. A heavy, substantial high quality antique chair.

Solid condition, Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered over existing upholstery which is sound. A few old worm holes to the underneath which have treated with worm killer as a precaution and filled with wax.
