This attractive antique pine dresser dates from c.1880 and is constructed from solid pine. It has a top section that consists of two fixed shelves with plate bars, and a bottom section that consists of three drawers over a two-door cupboard. There are what we believe to be original hanging hooks along the cornice and front edge of the top shelf of the top section. The drawers and doors retain their original wooden knob handles. The cupboard doors have later brass catches. Both doors retain their locks, although please note that no key is present. The dresser is supported on a later plinth base. Please note that the piece splits in two for ease of transportation.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use. There is some quite heavy scuffing, knocking and wear to the woodwork as might be expected from an antique country piece, and there is some fading and discolouration. It would benefit from being cleaned and waxed. There are some signs of old restoration and repair - as is mentioned above the plinth base is a later addition. The drawer runners are worn, and the middle drawer front is cracked and has been repaired at some point. The left-hand cupboard door is loose and has some movement. There is an area of wood loss to the back on the right-hand side.
