Victorian Pair Of Rosewood Bedroom Chairs 1850
These are a very pretty pair of antique side or bedroom chairs. They are wonderful quality. They are made in solid rosewood and are Early Victorian, dating to around 1850. The chairs are balloon backs with beautiful floral carving to the mid and back rail. The seat fronts are serpentine with reeded and shaped front legs terminating in pretty scroll feet. They have swept back legs.
The rosewood is rich and polished on these chairs. The joints are good. They are heavy chairs. The upholstery is old but clean and appropriate. You wouldn't want to change it.
These are particularly pretty period chairs and would look good in a bedroom or principal room furnished in period antiques.
Each chair is 33 inches high to the back and the seat is 18 inches wide and 18 inches high.
