Victorian Oak Leather Armchair Throne Chair Carver
Antique Victorian 19C oak leather armchair, throne chair or carver with heavy barley twist decoration.
Fantastic Gothic styling.
Quality, attractive and well made armchair, with no loose joints or wobbles.
A heavy, solid and strong chair.
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
The red leather upholstery is old, with wear and cracking, but no splits or holes.

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. Historical repairs, as is the norm, but all is solid now. We have not inspected components concealed beneath the upholstery, but the seat is quite comfortable without the typical lumps and bumps of an antique chair. No visible woodworm. Period brass castors to the front legs (with some wear as you might expect), later replacements to the rear.
