An interesting 19th.century carved oak “Green Man” throne chair. The impressive cresting rail having green man masks flanked by scrolling carved dolphins. The upholstered padded back within a carved harebell boarder leading to out-swept open arms. The stuff over seat supported on an “X” frame carved base with further green man masks, carved dolphins and cross stretcher. The whole raised on brass and pot casters and in very good original condition. Dimensions:- Height…47.5’’/ 120cm. Width…23.25’’/ 59cm. Depth…25’’/ 63.5cm. Seat Height…20.5’’/ 52cm.
