Victorian English Silver Christening Mug c1893
A good antique Victorian English Silver Christening Mug.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "ESB" for E S Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley), the Lion Passant Silver mark, the Birmingham town mark, the date letter "t" for 1893/94.
There is an engraved name to the front "William Matthew Duncan, 7th June 1899"
It measures approximately 3" inches (80mm) in height and 2 1/2" inches (65mm) in diameter at the top.
The weight is 93.3g/3.29oz/2.99ozt. It is in very good condition. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
