A very attractive Victorian period burr walnut open bookcase. The top edges and panelled fronts of the sides are all highlighted with brass gadrooned mouldings. This bookcase has three original shelves, all with burr walnut veneered fronts, these are all adjustable in height or can be removed as required. This is a good heavy quality bookcase and it is in excellent condition. Sizes: 42”(107cms) wide, 11 ½ “(29cms) deep, 48”(122cms) high. Shelf depth: 8 ¾ (22cms). Date circa 1860. I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
