A very rare find, this magnificent Vienna cold painted photograph frame is made from solid cast bronze, cleverly created with this charming cat holding the photograph frame.

The cat is beautifully cast with great detail, his tail appearing at the bottom of the frame and two paws holding the frame and two paws acting as feet for the frame. The cat is bought to life with the original glass eyes being intact.

Dating to around 1890 /1900 it remains in superb condition. The maximum measurements are 10" tall x 6 1/2" wide x 3" deep with the glazed aperture measuring 6 1/4" x 4 1/4".
