Unusual Victorian Figured Mahogany Desk
A good quality Victorian figured mahogany kneehole desk. Of unusual form having a shaped and cross banded top above concave pedestals and protruding centre drawer with recessed cupboard. The desk retains the original turned knobs, top drawers with working locks and keys and brass escutcheons.The pedestals have applied and carved columns with paw feet and the whole raised on shaped plinth bases. The writing surface having a re-placed top quality hand dyed leather with blind and gold tooling. Condition- Very good. Dimensions:- Height…29.25’’/ 75.5cm. Width…51’’/ 129.5cm. Depth…26’’/ 66cm.
