An unique antique mahogany freestanding Sea Commanders Campaign Surgeons desk. The desk is impress stamped “ Fleet Surgeon, Ship 477” on the right handed pedestal and stamped “ Commanders Cabin 411” to the underside of the wide drawer. Other markings in pencil include Commanders Desk. The removable top section has a black tooled leather writing surface above a full width drawer with working lock & key. The pedestals have three graduated drawers each with inset military style brass handles.The back is polished and the whole raised on plinth bases. Condition- Very good, re-polished in our own workshops with a replaced leather writing surface. Dimensinons:- Height…29.5’’/ 75cm. Width…44.75’’/ 114cm. Depth…24’’/ 61cm. Kneehole Height…24’’/ 61cm.
