Stunning Moorish Inlaid Jewellery Casket c1910

Beautiful intricately inlaid Al Andalus Moorish Jewellery Box c1910
Islamic Spain - Stunning and functional antique.
This is a very elegant, exquisite, highly detailed and intricately inlaid large antique jewellery box.
We have been dealing in antiques for almost thirty years and this is the best one that we have come across. It is simply stunning with absolutely amazing detail on every angle. You have to zoom in to really appreciate the wonderful intricate inlay, patterns and design on this box.
The inscription is the famous:
"wa La Ghalib il Allah"
"There is no Victory except from Allah"
This inscription is found all the way around the Alhambra Palace in Spain and also on the coat of arms/flag of the Nasrid Dynasty c1300 – c1500.
This delightful work of art comes complete with it’s original key. The key is also very nicely made, with a Gothic style shape. When you lift the top, you can see that there is a lift-out tray and all of it has been lined with soft velvet!
Please note that there are some minor blemishes and a few small sections of inlay are missing but this does not detract from the overall wonderful condition and rarity of this delightful work of art. This type of antique was not made to withstand modern dry housing conditions with central heating and double glazing.
We have seen similar rare inlaid boxes sell for over £1,000 but none of them have been this beautiful, large & practical size as this one measures:
Height: 4 inches Across the top: 9.25 inches Front to back: 6 inches.
We have seen a very similar box without the all important inscription and without a key available for £440 including shipping (details on request).
Please note that the other Al Andalus Moorish boxes to be sold separately are also in overall excellent condition with minor blemishes and losses commensurate with age:
