Stanley of Peterborough Barometer

A William IV period mercury wheel barometer. A slim mahogany case of good proportions with a swan neck top pediment. Ebonised case edging and a tapered case. Choice flame mahogany veneers. Silvered dials to the hygrometer, thermometer and level. A well engraved main dial. Signed to the level 'STANLEY PETERBOROUGH'. Circa 1835.
Stanley of Peterborough is listed in Banfields' Barometer Makers and Retailers book as working from 1830-1850.
