Very Fine quality rectangular solid silver Box with tartan effect engine turned engraved decoration and 18ct Gold gold thumb piece. Could also be used as a cufflinks box.

The lid is decorated with an oval applied enamel plaque depicting hunting scene. Fine engine turned sides and gilt interior with later applied inscription.

Fully hallmarked both on interior and rim. Assayed for Birmingham 1949. Silvermakers mark M H Meyer Ltd.

Overall this piece is in Mint Condition with no damage whatsoever. Rich gilt interior. Invisible hinge and unblemished enamel plaque.
