This lovely compact has an attractive simple chased geometric design on the front and back. It is very much in the art deco style. It is fully hallmarked inside for London 1945 with the maker's mark AWH, which we have not been able to identify. The compact retains a hallmarked removable inner frame, but is possibly missing a mirror. It retains its original gauze, but is missing its pad. The piece (excluding the gauze) weighs approx. 95g (3ozt).

Condition: Overall in very good condition with some wear consistent with age. There is some slight surface scratching, tarnishing wear. The inner mirror and pad are both missing. The gauze is worn and pullled. The clasp is a little stiff.
