Late 18th.c. oak bachelor’s chest of drawers c.1780. Useful small size, just 34″ wide. Solid oak top with an applied moulded edge over four drawers of graduated height. Oak drawer fronts with scratch carved detail to the edges and original brass handles with elaborate pierced back plates and escutcheons. Ogee moulding around the base and raised on shaped bracket feet front and rear. Solid oak sides and drawer linings. Original pine backboards. Very good condition and condition, with a repair to the top and one replacement handle. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
