Small Early 18th Century Oak Cwpwrdd Deuddarn
A very charming small solid oak Cwpwrdd Deuddarn or two part cupboard, dating from the early 18th century.
The upper section having an overhanging canopy with moulded cornice, over finely turned drop finials, above a fixed central arcaded panel, flanked by two small cupboard doors, which open to reveal a good sized storage area.
The lower section having two fielded panelled doors, which match the top section. Opening to reveal a shelved interior, with an abundance of storage space.
Standing on stile supports.
The colour is glorious, wonderfully patinated, rich and warm. Very tactile and simply glows
A beautiful extremely practical item with much character.
The overall condition is excellent antique condition, expected signs of age and use.
Very solid sturdy and strong.
Dismantles into two sections.
