A composite set of 6 (4+2) ash 'Clissett' rush seated chairs. Designed by Ernest Gimson after Philip Clissett c.1904. Two (one shown on the right) show turned & pegged construction with scored lines to indicate the position of the joints and were probably made by Edward Gardiner during the 1920's. The four (one shown on the left) are stamped by Neville Neal (apprentice to Gardiner).
