This is a very good quality set of 8 antique ash & beech country farmhouse ladder-back rush seated dining chairs, circa 1950 - 1970. This is an original set and not matched up. The set consists of 8 side chairs. All chairs boast graduated wavy shaped back splats above hand woven rush seated seats. The base of the chairs feature turned legs and stretchers all round for strength (twin stretchers on the sides). The front stretcher is heavy and turned – a good sign of quality. All chairs are made from top quality ash & beech and are firm and solid. This is a very good value set of 8 ladder-back chairs.
This item would compliment any home, especially the kitchen or dining room, so don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.
Condition Report
These chairs are in excellent condition and commensurate with the age of the chairs. The rush seating is original and most importantly is in excellent condition. The French polish finish on all the chairs is also in excellent condition. All chairs are solid in joint (the joints are not lose). All chairs are free of wood worm, solid in joint (not lose or wobbly) and ready to use. This is an original set of chairs they are not matched.
