Scottish Silver Beaker, Edinburgh, QEII Coronation


A very nice, novelty, Scottish Silver Beaker made by the well renowned firm of Hamilton & Inches in Edinburgh.
The beaker made to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
The side of the beaker engraved with the slogan "Here's a health unto Her Majesty" and also "ERII" in the middle of the date "1953".
The beaker is hallmarked with the maker's mark "H&I" for Hamilton & Inches, the Scottish "thistle" sterling silver mark, the Edinburgh "castle" town mark and date letter "W" for 1952/53 alongside the Monarch's Head Coronation mark (an optional mark for that year).
The beaker is in very good condition.
It measures 3 1/2" inches (90mm) in height, 2 1/2" inches (65mm) diameter at the base and 3" inches (80mm) diameter at the top.
