Scottish Provincial Silver Spoon, Arbroath c1840
A rare, Scottish Provincial Silver Teaspoon made in Arbroath by Andrew Davidson and dating from c1840.
Andrew Davidson is recorded in Jackson's Silver as working in Arbroath c1835 to 1850.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "AD" for Andrew Davidson, alongside his Arbroath marks. There are engraved initials on the handle (see photos).
It measures 5 3/4" inches (145mm) in length. The weight is 18.2g.
It is in good condition.
