Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoon, WJ&Co
A very good Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoon or large Tablespoon made by William Jamieson & Co of Aberdeen and dating from c1806.
It is marked with the maker's mark "WJ&Co" and "ABD" the town mark for Aberdeen alongside another letter. The mark "WJ&Co is relatively rare as Jamieson only used this mark for a limited period.
The spoon has an engraved initial to the terminal.
The spoon is in very good overall condition.
It measures 8 3/4" inches (225mm) in length.
