A very nice Scottish Provincial Silver Serving Spoon or large tablespoon by Robert Keay, Perth c1840.
Robert Keay II is recorded as working in Perth c1839 - 1856.
The spoon is hallmarked with the maker's mark "RK", struck twice for Robert Keay and the double headed eagle, also struck twice, the Perth town mark.
There is an engraved initial (see photo).
A nice, rare Scottish Silver Spoon in excellent condition.
It measures 8 3/2" inches (225mm) in length. The weight is 62.8g.
