This is a very elegant Regency boxwood inlaid mahogany sofa table, English circa 1820. The solid mahogany top can be extended by pulling out supports for the drop leaves at both ends. The frieze contains two drawers with boxwood edging and brass ring-pull handles, the reverse with conforming dummy drawers. The table is supported on turned dual end columns leading to shaped legs ending in brass cup casters, the columns united by a turned stretcher.

Condition: The table is in very good antique condition having been re-polished in recent years. The brass handles are not original but are very much in keeping with the style.
