Regency Mahogany Hall Chair, Newly Upholstered
An attractive regency chair. We date this chair to the early 19th century.
The chair sits on two turned legs to the front and two backward splayed square section legs to the rear.
The armrests have a shapely scroll and a lovely carved lower horizontal bar on the backrest. The chair seat pad has been newly upholstered in a green tartan fabric.
The chair has an overall height of 36" (92cm), an overall width of 22" (56cm), an overall depth of 21" (54cm), a backrest height of 18" (46cm), a seat height of 18" (46cm), a seat width of 18" (46cm) and seat depth of 18” (46cm).
The chair remains in a good condition with only very minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage, including some minor wear and mellowing to the frame.
This remains a very stylish and elegant chair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
