Regency era mahogany fold over supper table c.1820. At 42″ wide it is one of the largest examples of the form we have come across. Stands flat against a wall as a handsome console table, or spin and open the top to make a good sized square supper table for four people. Beautifully figured solid mahogany leaves with reeded edges over a veneered apron with applied mouldings. On a shapely turned and reeded column and crossbanded plinth. Raised on fine shaped and moulded legs of Classical inspired design with scrolling tops and original brass paw feet and castors. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
