A fabulous rare Stratton "Corona" made with Queen Elizabeth's Coronation in mind.
This is just gorgeous!
The most beautiful enamel lid showing Queen Elizabeth's official residence Buckingham Palace in the finest detail. There is no loss of design what-so-ever. This is a very charming antique compact in excellent condition & it comes complete with the Stratton box, felt pouch, luxurious watered silk puff, felt edged sifter & Stratton rosette all of which are pristine. The lid lifts to reveal an excellent mirror. The mirror bezel is signed "STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND". The inner lid is decorated with verticle lines & the Compact-in-Hand logo - a mechanism which activates the self-opening inner lid. This mechanism is in perfect working order. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base is decorated with a fine spiral.
