Rare Julius Keilwerth Alto Saxophone (Anton Braun)

A very interesting sax, please read full description.
Any questions I will try to my best ability to answer them.
There are NO serial numbers to this Saxophone, the only markings are ‘Royal Solo’ & A.Braun - Timisoara I.
A very rare Julius Keilwerth Alto Saxophone marked ‘Royal Solo, A.Braun - Timisoara’ which initially complicated its research as searching found very little leads in regard to others for sale with this marking. However, amazingly the Braun workshop is still running today making instruments so we was able to contact them where Anton Braun (Jnr) advised:
Quote:
‘This Saxophone was made in Germany, it is extremely good quality and was built by Julius Keilwerth.
My father Anton Braun had the commercial agency for Keilwerth. (He had the biggest Music Shop for import and export in Romania.)
It was sold before the second world war.
And because of the embargo of the UK with Germany (like it is currently with UK and Russia) it was not possible to export Saxophones or any other instrument to the UK from Germany. So my father had the agency to import it from Germany to Romania and then from Romania to the UK.
These are the information I can give you about this instrument.
I hope I could help you with it.
Best regards
Anton Braun’
In short, this is as mentioned by Anton Braun (junior) is an extremely good quality Saxophone, that was sold before the Second World War, it’s complete with its original case, two mouthpieces (C) one vintage and one by Yamaha, some reeds etc.
Any measurements you may require please do message.
This item will be sent recorded and tracked by Royal Mail.
Wear commensurate with age and use, no horrific dents, some mother of pearls missing from keys but these are now easily sourced. Pads are intact and look relatively good but I do advise this is serviced before use and they may need renewing?
History on the Anton Braun workshop:
The workshop was founded by Anton Braun senior (1877-1927) in 1896 in the Austro-Hungarian city of Temesvár / Temeswar.
He had learnt violin-making from his father and his older brother (Johannes) in the workshop founded by C.W.Richter in 1867 in Szeged /Austria-Hungaria.
Anton Braun Senior hand-crafted various instruments. When he died in 1928 his son Anton Michael Braun (1911-1978) took over the business, later (since 1958) specialising exclusively in saxophone-making.
In 1973 he retired and passed on the management of the business to his son.
Anton Johannes Braun, (1941- ) a woodwind- instrument maker and graduate in mechanical engineering.
In 1977 Anton J. Braun moved to Germany, where he began to build up the present-day workshop for flutes and piccolos.
1985: With 28 years' professional experience of instrument- making and three years' experience of technical research behind him, he developed his patented piccolo incollaboration with the flautists Michael Hasel (member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonic Woodwind Quintet Berlin).

Antonia Eva Simon (born Braun) has been working in her father's business since 1998. She gradually assimilated the family expertise, which has been passed on from generation to generation and constantly developed, thus ensuring the continuation and high quality of the company in the 5th generation.
Following musical training in piano, flute and voice, and successful graduation as a Maker of Woodwind Instruments from the "Fachschule für Musikinstrumentenbau" (College of Instrument-Making) Ludwigsburg, she is working in the family company since 2001.
