Quality George III mahogany fold over tea table

This is a very good side or fold over tea table. The table dates to the reign of George III around 1800. The table would have been made for the very smartest London addresses of the time. It oozes quality.
The table is made in mahogany and is D shaped. Look at the curve to the front frieze. Look at the crisp box wood stringing to the leading edges and fine boxwood lines around the flame mahogany central panel. The legs are tapered and each leg has parallel lines of stringing to the floor. This looks very crisp even today.
This is a fold over table. The back leg swings out. (The back leg is true and not at a funny angle as my photo suggests!) The table top is a deep mahogany red.
This is a beautiful side table. It is in very good condition. Minor marks as you would expect. Legs solid. No sign of damage or repair or worm.
If you have a period drawing room, this will look stunning against a wall with a lamp on top to illuminate the golden mahogany. Quality period table.
The table is 35 inches wide and 28.5 inches high and 17.25 inches deep and 34.5 inches deep with the top opened out.
