This a a delightful pair of 19th century Staffordshire cats, modelled seated upon cushions and decorated with hand painted polychrome floral sprays. The charming cats are posed upright facing each other with red ribbon collars. The pair are in excellent condition for their age with only the one very minor chip to the corner of the cushion on left hand cat as photographed. These are circa 1840 and are a nice size measuring 18.5 cms high.
