A magnificent pair of antique Victorian balloon back chairs in rosewood. Really good quality examples with beautifully figured rosewood frames, carved cross rails, stuff-over seats and shaped cabriole legs with floral carved knees and carved feet. The seats have been newly recovered in a cream brocade fabric over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition. In good condition, good patina, very solid and sturdy, would make a wonderful set of dining chairs. Dating from circa 1870.

Good condition. Solid frames. Lovely age and patina to the rosewood. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered over existing upholstery which is sound.
