-Welcome To Mersham Manor Antiques-
A delightful pair of elaborately carved Victorian corner chairs.
C1890.
Lovely designs, featuring "Griffins" to the arm rests, a "Green Man" to the centre of the top rail, and very sweet "Dolphins" to the two back-splats. The front leg is particularly nice, having a bold cabriole leg with a fruit carved knee and a large lion-paw foot.
The oak is a lovely rich warm medium colour, with a good patina.
The stuffed seats are covered in a turquoise-blue linen type fabric, in good condition.
In excellent antique condition.
Very solid, sturdy and strong.
The dimensions are,
taken at highest, widest, deepest points.
Height-80cm. Height-Seat-47cm.
Width-69cm.
Depth-70cm.
