A good pair of Scottish Provincial Silver Wishbone Sugar Tongs by William J Fraser of Ballater.
They are hallmarked with the Edinburgh Castle town mark, the Scottish thistle silver mark and date letter "A" 1931/32, above the maker's mark "W.J.F" for William James Fraser of Ballater.
After the death of William Robb his Ballater shop was left to his daughter, later taken over by Fraser. Fraser continued to produce many of the silver items made popular by William Robb, such as these tongs.
