A splendid large pair of silver plated claret jugs. Made to commemorate the opening of the Welsh Presbyterian Church on Princes Road Liverpool c.1865. Designed by W. & G. Audsley and built in the High Victorian Gothic Style. In very good condition with only minor wear to the plate on the outside around the lid and spout. Very clean inside and can be used. No dents or dings. The lids and hinges work perfectly smooth and close properly. Will grace any fine dining table. 10" high on 6 1/4" diameter bases. 9" deep. Capacity of each jug is 3 pints.
