Description: Pair of ancient oil paintings on canvas with contemporary frame belonging to the early 19th century.

The scenes respectively portray a pair of water lilies in an erotic attitude immersed in dense vegetation surrounded by architecture.

In the other scene the composition is always occupied by the two Water Lilies but at the moment in which one of them tries to steal a thorn from the other and they are always surrounded by vegetation and architecture.

The splendid workmanship and the refined color scheme clearly refer to the French pictorial culture of the early nineteenth century.

Condition: Good condition.

Provenance: France, early 19th century.

Measurements: 76x65cm.
