Fine pair of Empire style mahogany armchairs c.1900. Exposed solid mahogany frames with low curving backs and arms over a large deep sprung seat with feather filled cushion. Carved anthemion motif to front stiles over scrolling papyrus front legs. Note also the carved fish tails to the arms. Upholstered in a deep crimson velvet chenille with brass studs. Good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops with clean and serviceable upholstery.
