Pair of antique burr walnut chests of drawers in excellent condition & of high quality. They have just been French polished & I believe they date from around the 1910-20’s period. These chests are burr walnut all over & have a wonderful mellow golden colour. The tops have an inlaid banding as do the drawer fronts. The drawers are finely dovetailed with solid pine drawer bottoms & they have brass handles. There is a bit of natural distressing on the top mouldings, which only adds character & they sit on bracket feet. They are a very smart pair & could even be used as bedside chests, if the bedroom is large enough.
