Voltaire and Rosseau Bronze on marble base.
A quality early Georgian pair of cabinet bronzes by Rosset - Jean Claude François Joseph, born 1706 - 1786.
These are 18th century and in excellent condition.
Gilt-bronze on pink marble plinths.
Voltaire is signed on the shoulders, "Rosset... and A St Claire"
the latter being Rossets workshop, located close to Voltaire's home, the two were close friends.
10.5 and 11 cms high. Preferred method of payment is by bank transfer (UK faster payment or to our €Euro account) which incurs no additional costs or charges.
