A very decorative pair of antique Victorian Gothic chairs in solid oak dating from circa 1890. They have elaborately carved backs with carved and pierced central panels and a carved back rail depicting vine leaves. The side supports are barley twist and topped with finials. The back legs are also barley twist and the stretchers and front legs are turned and solid carved seats. One is lighter in colour than the other.

Fairly solid and sturdy to sit on, wear and marks commensurate with age to the frames. One chair is slightly darker then the other (one is more black and the other dark brown)
