A classic piece of English office antique furniture, this late Edwardian classic English oak roll top desk features a traditional tambour front. This rolls back to reveal numerous slides and compartments for pens, stationary etc. This sits upon a twin pedestal base, containing various sized drawers, and two additional pull out slides and central drawer. These are all fitted with their original fitted handles. This desk still retains its original modesty board. The desk is in overall good condition. Sadly, we do not possess the key, and we believe that the lock plate has been replaced at some stage. The desk has a small hole to the rear at the top we believe this hole was made for computer wires or similar. There is also a small piece of wood missing from the bottom of the right hand drawer, but this does not affect the drawer in any way. You must appreciate that this oak roll top desk is an old piece of office antique furniture which would have been used constantly on a daily basis, and so is in good condition for its age.
