Oak Open Barley Twist Candlesticks - Brass Tops

A wonderful pair of wooden candlesticks, always a winning combination, polished Oak and brass.
Not to be confused with a simple pair of twists, these are the highly sought-after "open" twists, with two hand carved twists spiraling around each other.
The cast brass tops in the form of Scottish thistle form, protect the wood from hot wax drips, the brass re-polished to gleam.
The pair do stand straight, when photographed as a pair, it often looks like one is leaning, but this is not the case.
Dating to around 1900, they both remain in excellent condition, measuring 12" tall with a base diameter of 5 1/2".
