Narrow early 20th.c. French semainier chest of drawers c.1920. So called because it has seven drawers, one for each day of the week. Just 23″ wide. Original and beautifully figured marble top with canted corners and a moulded edge. Symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers with inlaid stringing across the front and sides. Crossbanded corners, shaped apron and legs. Ormoulu mounts to the shoulders, apron and feet. Oak drawer linings. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
