Little Reno metal railway sign,c1950.I purchased it from the person who brought it back from the states in the 1990's.He has included a handwritten label which describes where he purchased it and the history of the piece. Briefly he purchased it in an antique shop in San Francisco in the mid 1990'sand it is a sign that was fixed to a post (there are 3 mounting holes) on the Southern Pacific Railroad near Sacramento. The charm of the piece is its naivety and patina. Clearly handwritten and painted and bent and 'distressed' following years of use it has a great look and would look stunning in a 'man/woman cave'.
